P.O.P Off (Passion Over Profit)

happy_black_womanHow many of us dreamed of living in a big house with all of our necessities and an excess of luxuries? From the time we came into this world we were prompted to chase after the careers that would bring the most monetary gain.  The sad thing is that very few of us were taught to pursue our passion.  What is it that brings you so much joy that you would do it even if you didn’t receive any sort of compensation?  We live in such a materialistic world where our goal in life is to be “rich”.  What about being rich in joy? Rich in peace? Rich in your soul? I decided to P.O.P off because I realized that life is too short to chase purely after profit doing something that I possess no passion for.  I firmly believe that if you follow your passion, you will gain all the profit you not only need, but want.  Everyday is a blessing, but waking up and going to a job that makes you miserable yet makes you “rich” is not worth it.  Yes, to pursue your passion will be hard work, but nothing worth having comes easy.  Knowing that all your labor will not go in vain should keep you going. There is so much joy to behold, yet many of us trade in that joy for a sizable paycheck.  Nothing is worth more than your joy and if you took the time to think and evaluate the things that you are most passionate about, trust me, your spirit will lead you in the right direction where your passion will bring you profit.  If your life is nothing but a paper chase you will only accumulate paper which is simply something tangible that goes as quickly as it comes.  The feeling that stems from knowing you are living out your God-given purpose and doing something you love is a feeling that will never fade. How can you make materials such an important asset, yet your personal satisfaction is a liability that you don’t try to replenish?  Will you remain a complacent zombie or is it time to P.O.P off?
